Aha! Match Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

This policy covers the Aha! Match game for Android ("the game"), made by MrGG of Gaming Gangs ("we"). The free web version on gaminggangs.com is covered by our website privacy policy.

The short version

  • No account with us. We don't add any analytics or tracking of our own.
  • Optional reward videos from Google AdMob: a video plays only when you tap a button that offers a reward. There are no other ads.
  • We don't run any servers for the game, and the game never sends your progress or your personal information to us.
  • Your game progress is saved on your phone.
  • Google Play handles purchases. Google Play Games handles the leaderboards, the Weekly League and friends, if you sign in to it. Google AdMob shows the reward videos. These Google services work under Google's Privacy Policy.

What is saved on your phone

  • Your progress and settings: levels, stars, coins, boosters, lives, story and season progress, the Light you earned this week, and your sound, music, vibration and reminder settings. They are kept in the game's private storage on your phone, which other apps can't read, and the game never sends them to us.
  • If Android's own backup is on, Android may include the game's data in your device backup in your Google Account, as it does for other apps, and may restore it when you reinstall the game. Google runs that backup.

Purchases

Coin packs, the Starter Pack and the Piggy Bank are bought through Google Play. Google takes the payment, and we never see your card or payment details. After a purchase, Google tells the game which item you bought (with a purchase code) so the game can give it to you. Google's billing code inside the game also sends Google technical information about each purchase step (for example, whether it worked), so Google can run Google Play billing.

Google Play Games: leaderboards, the Weekly League and friends

  • When you open the game, Google Play Games may sign you in by itself or ask you to create or choose a Play Games profile. You can say no. The rest of the game works without it.
  • If you are signed in, the game reads your Play Games player ID, gamer name and profile picture to show you on the leaderboards and in the Weekly League.
  • The game sends your scores to Google Play Games leaderboards: the Light you earned this week, your best Riddle Rush run of the week, your highest Fib's Tower floor, your total stars and your highest story level. Other players can see your gamer name, picture and scores there, depending on your Play Games settings. The League's top players list shows other players' gamer names, pictures and scores in the same way.
  • Friends: only if you allow the game to see your Play Games friends (on Google's screen or in your Play Games settings), the game loads your friends who play Aha! Match, with their gamer names, pictures and scores, to show them on the map and in the League. You can turn this off in your Play Games settings at any time.
  • Google Play Games also collects some usage and diagnostic information on its own (for example crash and performance data, and statistics about play in the game) so Google can run and improve the service.
  • This information is kept by Google, not by us. Google's Privacy Policy and your Play Games settings apply. You can see, change or delete your Play Games profile and its data in the Play Games settings of your Google Account.

Reward videos (Google AdMob)

  • Some buttons offer a reward for watching a short video, for example free coins, an extra life or five more moves. A video plays only when you tap such a button. There are no banners and no videos that play on their own.
  • The videos come from Google AdMob. To show the ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google collects information from your phone: its advertising ID, your IP address (which gives an approximate location), the phone model, Android version, language and app version, how you interact with the ads, and diagnostic data. Google explains how it uses this in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
  • In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent message asks for your choice before ads use your data, and you can say no. You can change your choice any time in the game's Settings > Ad privacy choices.
  • Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or turn off personalized ads, in your phone's settings (Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads).
  • The game asks for ads that suit everyone (rating G).

What we can see

The game itself sends nothing to us. Through our Google Play Console, Google gives us only:

  • Order records for purchases, such as the order number, item, price, date and your country or region (in some countries also your state, city or postcode). We use them only for our accounts, refunds and taxes. They don't include your name or payment details.
  • Crash reports and app statistics that Google collects from phones whose owners allow it, such as the phone model, Android version and what went wrong. We use them only to fix problems in the game.
  • Leaderboard scores with Play Games player IDs and gamer names, the same ones other players see.
  • AdMob reports: totals such as how many videos were shown and what they earned, by country and app version. They don't include your name or your advertising ID.

If you email us, we receive your email address and your message, and we use them only to answer you.

We never sell or share any of this information.

Updates

The game asks Google Play whether a newer version is available, so it can show the update screen. Google Play handles the update.

Reminders

Only if you turn reminders on, the game sets notifications on your phone, for example when your Daily Gift is ready, when your lives are full or when a new episode opens. They are made on your phone, and nothing is sent to us. On newer Android versions, Android first asks your permission to show notifications.

Sharing

When you tap Share or Invite friends, Android's share screen opens with a short text, such as your Daily Riddle result or a link to the game on Google Play. You choose the app and the people you send it to. We don't see what you share.

Permissions

  • Internet and network state: for reward videos, Google Play purchases, Google Play Games and updates. The game itself plays offline.
  • Advertising ID (and Android's ad privacy features): used by Google AdMob for the reward videos, as described above.
  • Vibration: for the game's haptic feedback (you can turn it off in Settings).
  • Notifications: only for the reminders you turn on.
  • Google Play billing: for purchases.

Children

Aha! Match is made for a general audience aged 13 and up. It is not made for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Reward videos are limited to ads that suit everyone.

How long data is kept, and deleting it

  • On your phone: your progress and settings stay until you reset them or uninstall the game. Settings > Reset progress (tap it twice) erases your progress, and uninstalling removes all of the game's data from your phone.
  • Android backup: if it is on, a copy may stay in your Google Account's backup and come back when you reinstall. You can delete it in your Google Account's backup settings.
  • Google Play Games: your profile and scores stay with Google until you delete them in your Play Games settings.
  • Reward videos: Google keeps ad data under its own retention rules (see Google's Privacy Policy). Resetting or deleting your advertising ID stops it being linked to new ads.
  • Purchases: Google Play keeps your order history. We keep order records only as long as accounting and tax laws require.
  • Emails: we keep them only as long as we need to answer you. Ask us and we will delete them.

Security

Your progress is saved in the game's private storage on your phone. Scores you send to Google Play Games, purchases, reward videos and any Android backup are handled and protected by Google, including with encryption in transit. We don't run any servers that store your data.

Changes

If anything changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
