Where is my progress saved?
In your browser, on this device. It does not move to other devices or browsers. Clearing this website's data, or playing in a private window, erases it. On iPhone, Safari may clear the data of websites you haven't opened for 7 days, so play at least once a week.
A game will not load
Check your internet connection and refresh the page. Use an up-to-date Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox. If it still fails, email us the game name, your device and your browser.
Englishly can't hear me
Allow the microphone when your browser asks. Speaking works in Chrome, Edge and Safari. On iPhone, play in Safari with Siri turned on, not from a Home Screen shortcut. Firefox switches to typing, and you can always type your answers.
Can I play offline?
After your first play, Aha! Match opens even without internet. Englishly opens offline too, but speaking needs internet because your browser's speech service is online.
Is it really free?
Yes. There are no payments on this website. Our Android apps are free to download, and some have optional in-app purchases, like Englishly's Full Year Pass after the free Week 1.
